About the Venue

The Irish diaspora has fundamentally shaped and been integrated into global and world music. As Irish immigrants over the centuries carried their songs, instruments and ballad traditions abroad, their music cross-pollinated with local styles. Their fusion with local cultures laid the bedrock for country, bluegrass and rock, and continues to redefine mainstream music today.

Burren Live will be located next door to The Burren House, Irish Pub and Kitchen. Burren Live will pay homage to the influence of both Irish and Marin County music traditions.

Marin County has long been a place where musicians came to create, collaborate and reinvent American music. From the folk revival of the 1960s to psychedelic rock, blues, jazz and modern Americana, Marin's studios, stages and communities fostered artists whose influence reached around the world. The county's creative spirit continues to inspire generations of musicians and music lovers alike. Just as Irish music crossed the Atlantic and helped shape America's musical identity, Marin County became a place where those traditions continued to evolve and influence audiences around the world. Burren Live will continue that connection.

A Multifunctional Venue

Burren Live will be a multifunctional venue focused on live music, but will also host DJ dance nights, comedy and large sporting events, to name a few.

Two Bars

The venue will have two bars. The Alchemy Bar in the front is where you can enjoy great food and drinks, and the Dead End Bar will support the music venue during shows.

Burren To Go

The venue will have onsite food available from an in-house kitchen, with a pick-up counter called "Burren To Go".

Corporate & Private Events

Burren Live will also be available for corporate events, talks such as TED Talks and private parties.
